This listing is for a “Correct Spelling” Willie Mays Nodder. He was made in 1962 and is part of the white base set and stands 7 inches tall. Mays is clearly tougher than Mantle and Maris, but his name is misspelled on almost 95% of them. This Mays has never had any work done to him whatsoever, making him completely original. The last “Correct Spelling” Mays that we had sold for $1300, as you can see. A regular Mays can sell for $500 or less but the correct spelling are always over $1000. I bought him as mint and original but he’s got 2 “scratches” on the back of his head? I think they’re scratches? They don’t show under a black light, but under a bright light, there they are. I think I’ll send him to Marasco to get his thoughts, or you may buy him at my cost and deal with it however you like?
