This listing is for a Tom Pouce Advertising Nodder. This particular type was manufactured in 1962 and is both colorful as well as gorgeous. I speak a bit of French and my guide tells me that Tom Pouce was a French restaurant back in the sixties. On both sides are the name “Le Marie Antoinette?” Marie was married at the age of 14, frowned upon now a days, and later became the Queen of France. That is until she was beheaded. Apparently in France you must possess a head in order to hold that position? Anyway, I had previously wondered why her name was on this piece, someone then informed me that Marie Antoinette owned several restaurants in France and that she also had a last name which she simply did not use. Fascinating, and thank you again for your help. I love this guy, he is one of my top favorites, which I’ve decided to share with you in order.
